Qualifications:

• Valid SSW-310 or SSW certification required
• Proven experience as a school social worker, ideally in middle or high school settings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build trust and rapport with students, families, and staff
• Proficiency in assessment, crisis intervention, and case management
• High level of professionalism, empathy, and cultural sensitivity

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social-emotional support and counseling to students facing academic, personal, or behavioral challenges
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to design and implement strategies that foster student well-being
• Manage individual or group interventions and run support groups as needed
• Conduct thorough assessments to identify barriers to learning and suggest interventions
• Coordinate with families and connect them with appropriate community resources
• Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with school policies and state regulations
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and educational planning processes
