Desired Background & Experience:
- Hold certification or credentials as a School Social Worker, School Psychologist, or Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC)
- Proven experience in school-based case management and/or support services
- Deep understanding of learning disabilities and best practices for interventions
- Strong advocacy, communication, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to special education
- Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and engage with students and families effectively
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the interim case manager for assigned students, ensuring their educational and emotional needs are addressed
- Oversee, monitor, and coordinate services for students identified with learning disabilities
- Facilitate meetings, including IEP development and progress reviews, involving staff and families
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in accordance with policy and legal requirements
- Provide consultation and support to teachers regarding accommodations, interventions, and resources
- Engage in problem-solving and collaborative planning with teachers, administration, and related service providers
