Qualifications & Experience

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure/certification for school social work services
• Previous experience working within a school or with school-aged children is highly preferred

• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including students with varying social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Familiarity with crisis intervention and knowledge of community resources

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect social work services to students and their families to enhance academic and social success
• Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and administrators to identify student needs and develop intervention strategies
• Conduct assessments, document cases, and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and legal standards
• Support students with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges through individual and group counseling
• Serve as a liaison connecting families to school resources and community agencies
• Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and staff development as needed
