Make a meaningful difference by supporting students in an educational setting as a dedicated School Social Worker for the 2026/2027 academic year. This full-time, contract opportunity involves working itinerantly with a diverse caseload ranging from PreK through 12th grade. You’ll collaborate closely with school staff to help students succeed, both academically and emotionally.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active Michigan School Social Worker Certification
  • Valid Michigan Social Worker License (LLMSW, LMSW, or LCSW)
  • Experience supporting students across various grade levels
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Previous work in educational settings or with behavior plans preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct social work services to PreK-12th grade students
  • Develop, implement, and monitor behavior intervention plans
  • Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, advocating for students’ needs
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to support student success
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and staff to facilitate a positive school environment
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation in compliance with school procedures
