Make a meaningful difference by supporting students in an educational setting as a dedicated School Social Worker for the 2026/2027 academic year. This full-time, contract opportunity involves working itinerantly with a diverse caseload ranging from PreK through 12th grade. You’ll collaborate closely with school staff to help students succeed, both academically and emotionally.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Michigan School Social Worker Certification
- Valid Michigan Social Worker License (LLMSW, LMSW, or LCSW)
- Experience supporting students across various grade levels
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Previous work in educational settings or with behavior plans preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct social work services to PreK-12th grade students
- Develop, implement, and monitor behavior intervention plans
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, advocating for students’ needs
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to support student success
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and staff to facilitate a positive school environment
- Maintain comprehensive documentation in compliance with school procedures
