School-Based Social Worker | Grand Blanc, Michigan

This contract opportunity invites you to work alongside educators and young people, providing direct social-emotional support and fostering a positive school environment during the 2025-2026 academic year.

Step into either an elementary or a high school setting, delivering individual and group interventions, as well as collaborating with staff to implement professional learning and proactive behavior programs. Qualifications:

• Master’s degree is required (client will not accept a bachelor's degree).
• Valid LARA license as a social worker, professional counselor, psychologist, or marriage and family therapist. See detailed requirements for specific licensure types.
• Acceptable credentials include: LMSW, LLMSW (with supervision), licensed master’s level psychologists, school psychologists (MDE credentialed), MDE-recognized school counselors, or those with valid counselor endorsements or credentials per Michigan requirements.
• Experience working in K-12 educational settings, providing mental health and behavioral support, is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group social emotional interventions to general education students.
• Collaborate with teachers to support classroom and building-wide positive behavior initiatives.
• Participate in and facilitate professional learning for educational staff.
• Adapt support strategies to meet evolving needs within the school community.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions.
