This contract role offers the opportunity to work with students across various grade levels, providing critical intervention support and fostering positive development.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited college or university is required
- Hold a valid LARA license and MDE School Social Worker Approval
- Must possess one of the following: Preliminary School Social Worker Certificate (PSSWC), Professional School Social Worker Certificate (PSWC), or School Social Worker Permit (SSWP)
- Experience working within schools and supporting special education students
- Skilled in small group, moderate group, and individualized student interventions
- Ability to provide services for elementary (K-6), middle, or high school student populations; please specify grade-level preference
- Onsite presence preferred; remote (VOCO) considered for highly qualified, experienced candidates
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver intervention support for special education students in both group and 1:1 settings
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to create individualized support plans
- Track student progress, maintain accurate and confidential records, and participate in IEP meetings as requested
- Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive support for student well-being
- Contribute to building a positive, inclusive, and safe school environment
