Key Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan School Social Worker certification required
- Active Michigan Social Worker license required
- Prior experience as a school-based social worker, particularly at the high school level, is preferred
- Strong understanding of student support services, crisis intervention, and behavioral management in educational environments
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver both direct and indirect social work services to high school students, addressing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Collaborate as an integral member of the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) team, helping guide school-wide behavioral initiatives
- Serve on the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) team to assess student needs and develop support strategies
- Conduct evaluations and create intervention plans in partnership with educators, parents, and administrators
- Offer expert consultation to staff and families, and contribute to school-wide programs that foster a positive and inclusive climate
