This contract opportunity runs from August 24, 2026, through May 14, 2027, working with approximately 40 students across two elementary schools and one preschool classroom.

What you’ll bring:

  • Valid approval from the Michigan Department of Education as a School Social Worker
  • Experience providing social work services in elementary or preschool settings
  • A collaborative approach, working effectively with teachers, staff, and families
  • Strong communication skills to interact with students, educators, and parents
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt to changing needs within a school environment

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering direct social work interventions to students, addressing academic, social, and emotional needs
  • Collaborating with educational teams to develop support plans and promote positive outcomes
  • Participating in meetings regarding student progress and contributing subject matter expertise
  • Providing crisis intervention, counseling, and resources to students and families as appropriate
  • Maintaining accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with policies and regulations
  • Engaging with caregivers and staff to foster student success and well-being
