The position spans the academic year, running from August 17, 2026, to May 27, 2027, on a part-time basis (0.4 FTE). All services are provided in person, allowing for direct engagement and connection with the school community.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) required
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Work endorsement is essential
- Experience within school settings, providing counseling or interventions to students
- Strong understanding of social-emotional learning and student advocacy
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ social, emotional, or behavioral needs
- Develop and implement plans or interventions to support individual student success
- Provide one-on-one or small group counseling services to students
- Partner with teachers, staff, and families to address barriers to learning
- Assist with crisis intervention and resource referral when necessary
- Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with district and legal standards
- Deliver services primarily at the assigned elementary school location, ensuring presence and continuity for students
