Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Social Worker license with School Social Worker endorsement (#071)
- Previous experience as a School Social Worker or in a similar educational environment preferred
- Strong understanding of the challenges facing students, families, and school communities
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with educators, administrators, and outside agencies
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and counseling to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
- Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create comprehensive support plans
- Connect students and families to community resources and outside agencies as needed
- Support crisis intervention and conflict resolution efforts within the school environment
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold ethical and legal standards
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
This 35-hour per week contract runs from October 21, 2026, to January 21, 2027, offering a dynamic and supportive work atmosphere.
