Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a school social worker
  • Previous school-based experience is highly valued
  • Strong knowledge of child development, family systems, and crisis intervention strategies
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including educators, counselors, and administrators

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students’ social, emotional, or behavioral needs
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions for students facing challenges
  • Develop intervention strategies and facilitate crisis response efforts
  • Act as a liaison between the school, families, and community agencies to coordinate resources and referrals
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs and 504 Plans
  • Deliver training and consultation to school staff on topics related to mental health, trauma, and positive behavior support
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with professional and legal standards
