Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or certification as a school social worker
- Previous school-based experience is highly valued
- Strong knowledge of child development, family systems, and crisis intervention strategies
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including educators, counselors, and administrators
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ social, emotional, or behavioral needs
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions for students facing challenges
- Develop intervention strategies and facilitate crisis response efforts
- Act as a liaison between the school, families, and community agencies to coordinate resources and referrals
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs and 504 Plans
- Deliver training and consultation to school staff on topics related to mental health, trauma, and positive behavior support
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with professional and legal standards
