In this full-time, itinerant position, you’ll be integral to the Pupil Appraisal Department, partnering with School Psychologists and Educational Diagnosticians. Your work extends far beyond traditional social work, focusing on student evaluations, eligibility assessments, and multi-disciplinary intervention coordination—a dynamic blend of responsibilities that accelerates your experience and impact.

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

• Louisiana Department of Education certification and active professional license.
• Proficiency with Bulletin 1508 guidelines.
• Experience or strong interest in pupil appraisal, special education evaluations, and re-evaluations.
• Skill in testing, intervention monitoring, and collaborative, multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Ability to travel between 2-3 assigned school sites.
• Successful completion of required fingerprint background check and drug screening.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive student and child assessments for special education qualification.
• Perform initial and re-evaluations, attend SBLC/ABIT meetings, and coordinate interventions.
• Monitor assessment outcomes and collaborate to support student needs.
• Work closely with psychologists, educational diagnosticians, and school teams.
