As a school social worker on this assignment, you’ll be immersed in diverse educational settings, working with young children through GSRP programs and supporting elementary students with varying needs. This is a split role covering a maternity leave from late November through February, with potential for earlier medical leave coverage. Qualifications:

  • Active licensure/certification as a school social worker in Michigan (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience in early childhood and/or elementary school settings preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, families, and students
  • Adaptability and organizational skills to manage responsibilities in multiple settings
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive environment for all students

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and group support for students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrative staff to develop and implement intervention plans
  • Maintain timely documentation and progress reports in accordance with district standards
  • Serve as a critical resource for GSRP kiddos and students requiring 1755 supports at two school locations
