In this contract assignment, you’ll collaborate directly with educational teams to promote student well-being and learning success. You’ll work school-day hours from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with a break for a 50-minute unpaid lunch. This leave coverage assignment runs from August 10th through September 18th, offering an engaging and focused schedule near Hinsdale, IL.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with social work endorsement required
- Prior experience working with high school-aged students preferred
- Strong understanding of adolescent development, social-emotional learning, and case management
- Capacity to build rapport quickly with students from diverse backgrounds
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Organized, flexible, and committed to confidentiality and ethical practice
Responsibilities:
- Provide social-emotional support and counseling for high school students
- Conduct assessments and develop targeted intervention plans
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to best meet student needs
- Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as a contributing member of the support team
- Serve as an advocate for students, helping connect them to community resources as needed
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and district policy
