School Social Worker in Hinsdale, IL

Make a meaningful impact by supporting high school students through a rewarding opportunity working as a school social worker. In this contract assignment, you’ll collaborate directly with educational teams to promote student well-being and learning success. You’ll work school-day hours from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with a break for a 50-minute unpaid lunch. This leave coverage assignment runs from August 10th through September 18th, offering an engaging and focused schedule near Hinsdale, IL.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with social work endorsement required
• Prior experience working with high school-aged students preferred
• Strong understanding of adolescent development, social-emotional learning, and case management
• Capacity to build rapport quickly with students from diverse backgrounds
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Organized, flexible, and committed to confidentiality and ethical practice

Responsibilities:

• Provide social-emotional support and counseling for high school students
• Conduct assessments and develop targeted intervention plans
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to best meet student needs
• Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as a contributing member of the support team
• Serve as an advocate for students, helping connect them to community resources as needed
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and district policy
