Social Worker in Holland, MI

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure as a School Social Worker (or eligibility)
• Previous experience in a school setting preferred
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage caseloads and document interventions effectively
• Commitment to advocating for students’ well-being and success

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and provide direct services to students dealing with social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
• Develop individualized plans and support strategies in collaboration with educational teams
• Provide crisis intervention and short-term counseling as needed
• Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community agencies
• Lead small groups and offer classroom workshops on relevant social topics
• Maintain comprehensive records in accordance with school policies and regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team conferences as appropriate
