School-Based Social Worker - Holly, Michigan

Situated near Holly, MI, this role spans the full academic year and focuses on fostering a positive school environment, collaborating with educators, families, and outside agencies to meet the psychosocial needs of students.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active SSW – 310 or SSW certificate, as required for School Social Workers
• Demonstrated experience working within a school setting
• Background supporting middle or high school students preferred
• Knowledge of best practices in crisis intervention, case management, and student advocacy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and families
• Able to manage a dynamic caseload and adapt approaches to diverse student needs

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and provide direct social-emotional interventions for students experiencing academic, behavioral, or personal challenges
• Develop and implement individualized plans working closely with educational teams, including IEPs and 504 plans when necessary
• Facilitate small group or individual counseling sessions to promote coping skills and resilience
• Act as a liaison among students, families, and community resources to ensure access to necessary supports
• Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution services as needed
• Actively participate in meetings, staff trainings, and ongoing professional development
