Expand your impact this summer by providing essential support as a dedicated school social worker for an Extended School Year (ESY) program near Irwin, PA. This contract opportunity spans from mid-June through mid-July, offering you the chance to work closely with a small group of students and collaborate with educators within a collaborative and caring educational environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold an active Pennsylvania School Social Worker Certificate
  • Demonstrate experience supporting diverse student needs in a school or comparable setting
  • Capable of working onsite at both McMurray and Waynesburg campuses as scheduled
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students, families, and educational staff
  • Effective communicator with excellent organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support services and guidance to a caseload of 12 students throughout the ESY session
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop and implement individualized student plans
  • Utilize knowledge of social work best practices to address students’ academic, social, and emotional goals
  • Conduct assessments and offer crisis intervention as needed within the school environment
  • Maintain accurate documentation and report student progress in accordance with program protocols

This role follows a convenient schedule: 8am – 12pm (subject to change), over 19 school days between June 22nd and July 17th, 2026. The in-service orientation for teachers takes place June 18th, and there are no classes on July 3rd. This onsite position offers the opportunity to make a difference in a focused, supportive setting.
