Social Worker | Jackson, Michigan

Make a positive impact in the lives of students across PreK–12th grade as a dedicated school social worker. This full-time contract position supports general and special education caseloads throughout the district. With sites located just a mile apart, you'll have the opportunity to travel between schools, collaborating with a variety of professionals to provide comprehensive student support.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid school social worker certification or licensure
• Experience working with PreK–12th grade students strongly preferred
• Knowledge of both general education and special education needs
• Ability to travel between nearby district sites as needed
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Capable of building positive relationships with students, families, and staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, social-emotional, and behavioral concerns
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and special education teams
• Develop and implement student intervention plans and support strategies
• Conduct assessments and support the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as needed
• Advocate for student needs and connect families to community resources
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation
