Make a positive impact in the lives of students across PreK–12th grade as a dedicated school social worker. This full-time contract position supports general and special education caseloads throughout the district. With sites located just a mile apart, you'll have the opportunity to travel between schools, collaborating with a variety of professionals to provide comprehensive student support.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid school social worker certification or licensure
- Experience working with PreK–12th grade students strongly preferred
- Knowledge of both general education and special education needs
- Ability to travel between nearby district sites as needed
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Capable of building positive relationships with students, families, and staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, social-emotional, and behavioral concerns
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and special education teams
- Develop and implement student intervention plans and support strategies
- Conduct assessments and support the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as needed
- Advocate for student needs and connect families to community resources
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation
