Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois School Social Worker license required
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate and document effectively in both languages
  • Experience in educational settings, particularly supporting students with IEPs, is highly desirable
  • Understanding of school-based and healthcare-related social work practices
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable serving a diverse population

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted social work services to bilingual students (English/Spanish) with IEPs, ensuring their academic and emotional needs are met
  • Support the General Education bilingual program and contribute to the well-being of the wider school community
  • Participate in IEP meetings and assist with documentation as needed
  • Serve as a resource for students, teachers, and families by connecting them with appropriate school and community services
  • Promote a positive, inclusive school climate through advocacy and proactive interventions
