Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois School Social Worker license required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate and document effectively in both languages
- Experience in educational settings, particularly supporting students with IEPs, is highly desirable
- Understanding of school-based and healthcare-related social work practices
- Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable serving a diverse population
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted social work services to bilingual students (English/Spanish) with IEPs, ensuring their academic and emotional needs are met
- Support the General Education bilingual program and contribute to the well-being of the wider school community
- Participate in IEP meetings and assist with documentation as needed
- Serve as a resource for students, teachers, and families by connecting them with appropriate school and community services
