Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Social Worker
- Previous experience working in a school setting is highly valued
- Strong understanding of child development, crisis intervention, and special education processes
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage with students from diverse backgrounds
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect services to students and families to support social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and deliver counseling individually or in groups
- Serve as an advocate for students, helping navigate school resources and community services
- Partner with teachers and staff to implement strategies that foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Section 504 Plans
- Participate in crisis response and prevention initiatives within the school community
