Key qualifications and experience:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker
  • Prior experience working in educational settings, preferably K-12
  • Strong communication, advocacy, and crisis intervention skills
  • Passion for supporting the emotional and behavioral well-being of students

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students’ social, emotional, or behavioral needs
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote positive student outcomes
  • Provide direct counseling and support services to students and families
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff
  • Connect families with community resources and services as needed
  • Maintain thorough and confidential records in compliance with school policies
