School Social Worker - Jonesville, MI

Make a difference in the lives of students and families by supporting a vibrant school community as an onsite School Social Worker. This is a contract position based near Jonesville, MI, running from August 24, 2026, through June 4, 2027. You’ll play an essential role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for students of diverse backgrounds and needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active and valid Michigan Social Worker license is required
• Experience working in school-based or educational settings is strongly preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of school intervention strategies, crisis management, and community resource connection
• Ability to adapt to caseload variations and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social work services to students, including counseling, crisis intervention, and advocacy
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop strategies that enhance student well-being and academic success
• Connect families with local supports and community resources
• Conduct assessments, write reports, and participate in IEP and intervention meetings as needed
• Uphold confidentiality while keeping student-centered, ethical practice at the forefront
• Maintain clear documentation and communicate student progress to appropriate stakeholders
