A school district in Kalamazoo, MI, is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to provide critical support for students in a K-12 environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to work onsite, delivering direct services that positively impact students' educational and social-emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide social work support and counseling to students across grades K-12.
  • Collaborate with educational staff and families to support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Assist with ongoing evaluations and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), with most already completed.
  • Address student needs through individual and group interventions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation consistent with district policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) required; LMSW with 310 authorization preferred.
  • Experience working within school settings or with school-aged children.
  • Ability to manage caseload of approximately 190 IEPs across the district.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Availability for onsite work hours from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday (35 hours per week).
