Social Worker | Kalamazoo, Michigan

Make an impact by supporting students as a contract School Social Worker in a vibrant educational community near Kalamazoo, MI. This role is ideal for professionals with an LMSW or LMSW and 310 certification who are ready to provide essential onsite services to K-12 students.

Your workweek will run Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, totaling 35 hours per week. You’ll collaborate with staff and help meet the needs of a district with around 190 IEPs. With most evaluations and FBAs already completed, you can focus on direct student support and intervention.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active LMSW or LMSW with 310 certification required
• Prior experience as a school social worker preferred
• Understanding of K-12 IEP processes
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and educational teams
• Ability to begin the assignment promptly

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct services and interventions to K-12 students with IEPs
• Provide support across multiple schools within the district as needed
• Consult and coordinate with special education staff, teachers, and families
• Maintain accurate records and uphold compliance with district, state, and federal policies
