What You’ll Bring:
- A master’s degree is required (client will not consider candidates with only a bachelor’s).
- Current LARA license or eligible credential (full details at the Michigan LARA website).
- Acceptable licensure/certifications include:
- Licensed master’s level psychologist or social worker
- Limited licensed master’s level psychologist or social worker (with supervision)
- Licensed or limited licensed master’s level marriage and family therapist or professional counselor (with supervision)
- MDE credentialed master’s level school psychologist
- School Counselor License (SCL), Michigan Teaching Certificate with the NT endorsement, Preliminary or Temporary School Counselor credentials (with any additional requirements noted by the state)
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver high-quality, direct social-emotional support to general education students in individual and small group formats.
- Provide consultation and ongoing support to classrooms and staff, including professional development sessions and collaboration on positive behavior initiatives.
- Adapt and respond to the unique needs of each school setting, working closely with educators and other specialists to foster safe and supportive learning environments.
