Make a difference in the lives of young learners by providing vital social work services at the elementary level during a short-term contract opportunity. This assignment runs from early November through the end of December 2026, covering a maternity leave for the upcoming school year. As a valued member of the support team, you will work with students, families, and school staff to promote a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environment.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
  • Valid state licensure or certification for school social work
  • Previous experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred
  • Demonstrated skills in crisis intervention, counseling, and case management
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Comfort working across multiple school sites

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct social work services to elementary students, including individual and group counseling
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention strategies
  • Conduct assessments to determine student needs and help shape individualized support plans
  • Act as a resource for school staff and families regarding social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and legal guidelines
  • Facilitate connections to community resources for students and families when appropriate
