This part-time, in-person contract position runs from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027, offering the opportunity to collaborate with educators and support staff to address students’ emotional, behavioral, and social needs. The primary campus for this role will be at an elementary school, where you will serve as a critical resource for both students and their families.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work required
- PEL (Professional Educator License) is mandatory
- Experience as a school social worker or in a closely related setting
- Strong communication, counseling, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students managing academic, social, or emotional challenges
- Develop and implement intervention strategies and student support plans
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families on student progress and well-being
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide insight into student needs
- Serve as a liaison between school, families, and community resources
- Maintain accurate documentation and case records in compliance with school policies
