School-Based Social Worker - Lansing, Michigan

Key Qualifications:

• Hold a valid School Social Worker Certification in Michigan
• Possess a current Social Worker license in Michigan
• Previous experience working with adolescents in educational settings preferred
• Strong understanding of PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports) and MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) frameworks
• Demonstrated skills in providing both direct and indirect therapy/services to students
• Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities Include:

• Support a caseload of high school students, delivering both individual and group services
• Act as an active member of the PBIS team, contributing to the development and implementation of positive behavior supports
• Serve on the MTSS team to address students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
• Deliver direct therapy and counseling, as well as indirect services such as consultation and case management
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, families, and outside agencies to promote student well-being
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in alignment with school and district policies
