Qualifications we seek:

• Master’s degree required (no exceptions); see license criteria below
• Active LARA license for Michigan as a Social Worker, Psychologist, Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or hold one of the following:
  • Licensed or limited licensed master’s level in psychology, social work, or counseling (under appropriate supervision where necessary)
  • MDE credentialed master’s level school psychologist
  • School Counselor License (SCL)
  • Michigan Teaching Certificate with School Counselor (NT) endorsement
  • Preliminary or Temporary School Counselor Credential (with commitment to LARA licensure within 24 months)
• Proven experience with SOAP notes/electronic documentation and Google applications
• Background in individual and group counseling for school-aged youth

Core responsibilities:

• Deliver direct social-emotional counseling to general education students
• Lead and document group/individual counseling sessions
• Collaborate with school staff to implement proactive, positive behavior supports
• Participate in professional learning to support whole-school mental health initiatives
• Support classroom or school-wide needs as assigned
