Key Qualifications:

• Valid LLMSW, LMSW, or LCSW state license required
• School Social Work Approval through MDE (preliminary, temporary, or full approval)
• Prior experience working with children or youth in a school, clinical, or community setting is preferred
• Strong skills in assessment, counseling, intervention, and advocacy
• Effective communication skills when collaborating with educators, families, and students
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic school environment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social work services to students, individually and in groups, to foster academic and social success
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address barriers to learning and promote positive outcomes
• Conduct assessments and participate in the development of individualized education and behavior plans
• Offer crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and mental health counseling as needed
• Support compliance with special education requirements through documentation and team meetings
• Promote an inclusive and supportive school climate for all students
