Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development through dedicated school-based social work. This contract position is full-time, structured as four days per week throughout the 2026-2027 school year, beginning in August and extending through late May. Candidates will manage a caseload of approximately 25 students and split time between two buildings. Enjoy a balanced schedule while focusing on individualized student support and collaborative problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct social work and behavioral support services to students
- Foster student growth in social-emotional and behavioral areas
- Engage actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
- Complete documentation, case management, and maintain compliance with all relevant standards
- Consult and collaborate with educators, families, and outside providers to support holistic care
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid New Mexico PED certification as a School Social Worker
- Current New Mexico License as a Social Worker
- Experience within educational settings providing social-emotional and behavioral interventions is preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work itinerantly between two school buildings and manage a diverse caseload
