Social Worker in Lemont, IL

Step into a rewarding opportunity as a School Social Worker supporting students during an important maternity leave coverage for the 2026–2027 academic year. This full-time, contract position offers the chance to make a genuine impact, working with a manageable caseload of approximately 40 students. Your schedule will run from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm, beginning August 7th, 2026, through October 26th, 2026.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid School Social Worker licensure or state certification (Type 73 or equivalent)
• Experience in educational or school-based settings is highly valued
• Knowledge of IEP processes and the ability to implement student minutes with fidelity
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and document interventions
• Excellent interpersonal abilities to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide social-emotional support and counseling to students in alignment with their IEP goals and designated minutes
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to ensure a cohesive support system
• Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to progress monitoring, and maintain timely documentation
• Help students develop positive coping skills and strategies to thrive academically and socially
• Address student concerns, behavior, and family issues as they pertain to their educational experience
