Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- State licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a school social worker (Type 73 or equivalent required in Illinois)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication, advocacy, and organizational skills
- Ability to evaluate and address the social and emotional needs of students
Responsibilities:
- Assess student needs to develop individualized interventions
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and ongoing support to students and families
- Collaborate with staff and families to implement positive behavioral interventions
- Maintain detailed case documentation and participate in IEP/504 meetings
