As a School Social Worker covering a maternity leave from August 7, 2026, through October 26, 2026, you’ll work a full-time schedule—Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 2:30 pm. You’ll support a manageable caseload of 40 students, meeting with them as outlined in their IEPs to provide critical services that directly impact their educational outcomes. This assignment is ideal for those eager to expand their professional portfolio through exposure to diverse workplace practices and enrich their experience by collaborating with different school leadership teams.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in social work from an accredited program
- Valid Illinois PEL with School Social Worker endorsement (Type 73)
- Previous experience as a School Social Worker preferred
- Understanding of IEP implementation and documentation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with students according to IEP requirements
