School Social Worker - Liberty, NY

This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to support students’ academic, social, and emotional development within a collaborative school setting. The schedule is Monday from 8:00am to 4:00pm and Tuesday through Friday from 8:00am to 3:15pm, allowing for meaningful connection with students, families, and staff.

Qualifications:

• Current, valid New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or actively progressing toward LCSW (supervision available if needed)
• Alternatively, New York State Certified School Social Worker (C-SSW) credentials accepted
• Completion of Mandated Reporter training as per NYS education requirements
• Fulfillment of NYSED-approved fingerprinting and background check
• Documentation of Sexual Harassment Prevention training in accordance with state guidelines

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct individual and small-group counseling for students, in compliance with IEPs, 504 Plans, and MTSS Tier 2/3 interventions
• Collaborate closely with families to help them access essential community resources for student mental health and well-being
• Partner with fellow counselors and faculty to address, de-escalate, and manage any student crisis scenarios, supporting a safe and nurturing school environment
