Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
  • Valid Michigan SSW license or eligibility to achieve licensing prior to start
  • Experience providing services to elementary-aged children, ideally within a school setting
  • Strong knowledge of counseling techniques, behavioral interventions, and crisis management
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to develop and implement IEPs or behavioral plans as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group counseling to students with social, emotional, or behavioral needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to create supportive learning environments
  • Conduct assessments and participate in student evaluations
  • Serve as an advocate and case manager for assigned students
  • Assist in developing and monitoring interventions and supports
  • Maintain thorough, confidential documentation in accordance with school and legal requirements
