Social Worker in Littleton, CO

Step into a vital support role impacting students’ lives across two schools in the Denver area. As a contract school social worker, you’ll deliver essential mental health and counseling services, working onsite to nurture the well-being and academic achievement of students from early childhood through high school. Assignments are based on availability and span a variety of age groups, presenting the opportunity to build meaningful connections and foster positive change.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of previous experience as a school social worker
• Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
• Holds a Colorado Special Service Provider license in School Social Work (ages birth through 21)
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with parents, educators, and administrators
• Familiarity with case management, student assessment, and delivering counseling or mental health workshops
• Willingness to complete a district-level background check and fingerprinting process

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted mental health support, promoting student success and resilience
• Identify and assess student needs, offering interventions or referrals to external agencies as appropriate
• Work collaboratively to address attendance, behavioral issues, and barriers to learning
• Regularly communicate with school staff and families to give a comprehensive view of student progress
• Maintain confidential case records, recognize behavioral trends, and develop individualized support plans
• Engage in interventions such as counseling sessions, group treatment plans, or campus workshops
• Remain committed to completing the assignment through the end of the school year for continuity of care

Assignments are full-time (37.5 hours/week, Monday–Friday) and based at two local schools per role, designated upon assignment. Make a difference where it matters most by helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
