Support students and families as an itinerant Social Worker providing vital services across K–12 levels throughout the academic year. This contract position ensures continuity of care by covering two separate FMLA leaves, offering a dynamic mix of responsibilities and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in multiple school settings.

Start your assignment at the end of August and continue through late May, working collaboratively with school teams to promote mental health, resilience, and student success in diverse educational environments. Each day brings the satisfaction of connecting students with essential resources and advocating for their well-being.

Qualifications:

  • Current, active Colorado Social Worker licensure
  • Previous experience in school-based social work preferred
  • Comfortable managing a varied, itinerant K–12 caseload
  • Excellent communication and advocacy skills
  • Adaptable to changing environments and new teams
  • Strong organizational skills, able to juggle multiple assignments
  • Passion for supporting the academic and emotional growth of students

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support and counseling to students navigating personal, social, or academic challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and administration to develop and implement interventions
  • Guide students and families toward appropriate school and community resources
  • Conduct assessments, maintain records, and ensure confidentiality
  • Participate in student support teams, IEP meetings, and crisis planning as needed
  • Travel between schools as required to address caseload needs
