Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Services License with Social Worker Endorsement required
  • Background in school-based social work or school psychology, particularly with special education populations
  • Experience supporting students with Affective Needs, Significant Support Needs, and mild to moderate exceptionalities is highly encouraged
  • Flexible and able to adapt to varying caseloads and service minutes
  • Comfortable completing all district contract and credentialing requirements prior to the start date
  • Commitment to serving a diverse, high school-aged student population

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver mental health services for students with IEPs as outlined by individualized education plans
  • Provide crisis response, counseling, and intervention in both group and one-on-one settings
  • Collaborate with special education case managers, teachers, families, and administration to support student success
  • Maintain documentation as outlined by district and state guidelines
  • Serve as an integral member of the support staff on one designated high school campus
  • Engage students, families, and staff to foster a supportive, inclusive school culture

In this full-time, on-site contract position (37.5 hours per week), you'll be positioned to make a real difference. Your expertise in special education and mental health will be valued by a forward-thinking educational community. The assignment is set to run until late May 2027, with the campus to be determined soon in the Littleton area. Flexibility to fill either a Social Worker or School Psychologist role is available for the right candidate.
