Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid, full certification as a school social worker (please provide current certificate with your application)
  • Experience in a school-based or educational setting preferred
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
  • Commitment to equity and culturally responsive practices
  • Proven skills in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and case management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct social work services and support for students and families
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrative staff to develop and implement individualized education and behavioral plans
  • Facilitate individual and group sessions to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
  • Conduct assessments to identify barriers to academic and social success
  • Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community agencies
  • Contribute to a positive school climate through advocacy and proactive initiatives

This is a full-time contract role with up to 40 hours per week, allowing you to deeply engage with and support the school community during this impactful leave period.
