Key Qualities and Required Experience:

  • Proven experience as a school social worker, supporting students at the K-12 level.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and multidisciplinary educational staff.
  • Ability to provide crisis intervention, group and individual counseling, and resource referrals efficiently.
  • Flexibility and resilience to adapt to changing student and school needs during the assignment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect social work services tailored to individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to devise strategies that address barriers to learning and promote positive educational outcomes.
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation, working within all relevant school policies and state regulations.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions to provide professional input and advocacy.
  • Support a safe, inclusive, and respectful school culture, fostering students' social, emotional, and behavioral growth.
