School-Based Social Worker | Mason, Michigan

This full-time contract position runs from ASAP through June 4th, 2027, and focuses on core middle school grades (7th - 8th). As a valued team member, you’ll play a critical role both independently and collaboratively, fostering a positive learning environment and supporting student success.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Michigan Social Worker License (LLMSW, LMSW, or LCSW required)
• School Social Worker certification in Michigan is mandatory
• Demonstrated experience working with middle school students is strongly preferred
• Strong skills in report writing and case management
• Excellent communication abilities for effective collaboration with teachers, staff, administrators, and parents
• Commitment to maintaining student privacy and professional ethics

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social work services to students in 7th and 8th grades
• Write comprehensive reports and assist with documentation
• Attend and participate in IEP meetings as a vital team member
• Collaborate with faculty, administration, and families to develop effective support strategies for students
• Engage in problem-solving for socio-emotional and behavioral challenges
• Actively participate in multidisciplinary team activities

Compensation for this position ranges from $43/hr to $48/hr. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, as well as housing and meals/incidentals while on assignment. Full healthcare benefits plan details are available after applying.
