Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' well-being in an educational environment near Minneapolis, MN. Two dedicated social workers are needed for the upcoming academic year, working on-site to collaborate within a dynamic school setting. The placements span from August 17, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with each week offering 37.5 hours spent engaging directly with students and staff.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active state licensure as a Social Worker (no educator credential required)
- Experience providing social work services within school communities is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with supporting diverse student populations and collaborating in multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong communication, crisis intervention, and documentation skills
- Flexibility to adapt to caseloads assigned following the initial interview
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect social work support to students as part of school-based teams
- Participate in assessment, intervention, and referral services to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Serve as an advocate for students’ overall success by working with families, teachers, administrators, and external agencies
- Maintain accurate documentation and meet reporting requirements as prescribed by the district
- Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to the creation of individualized support plans
