School-Based Social Worker - Monument, Colorado

Make a difference in the lives of students as a dedicated Social Worker supporting schools in the Colorado Springs area. This full-time, onsite position spans the 26-27 school year and offers an opportunity to work with a diverse, K-12 student population across at least two school sites. You’ll manage a caseload of around 45 students and be an essential resource in fostering positive educational, social, and behavioral outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• CDE license in hand, or eligibility to apply prior to start
• Prior experience as a Social Worker in an educational setting is preferred
• Ability to serve K-12 students, adapting services for various age groups and needs
• Strong organizational skills and the capability to balance responsibilities across multiple schools
• Commitment to maintaining high standards for student safety, well-being, and confidentiality

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess and address the social and emotional needs of students to support learning and overall progress toward educational goals
• Deliver tailored interventions and services, recognizing individual student interests, abilities, and challenges
• Supervise students consistently to ensure their well-being during school hours and related activities
• Employ strategies to develop students’ critical-thinking, self-advocacy, and problem-solving skills
• Uphold institutional guidelines on health, safety, and education, while maintaining clear communication with families and staff
