Social Worker | Moriarty, New Mexico

Make an immediate impact on student well-being by supporting learners near the Moriarty, NM region! This contract opportunity is a meaningful role designed for experienced School Social Workers who are passionate about proactive intervention and social-emotional growth. You’ll be aligned with elementary students through the end of May 2027, focusing on both individual learners and targeted small groups.

Essentials for success:

• Active LMSW, with supervision available if you are working toward your LCSW
• Proven background providing support in K-12 school environments, especially in social work roles
• Familiarity with small-group instruction, group and individual counseling, and crisis response
• Skilled at using data to identify student needs and implement appropriate interventions
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other support staff
• Strong communication skills, empathy, and cultural responsiveness

Key responsibilities:

• Serve as a proactive resource to grade levels or small student groups
• Develop and deliver engaging lessons for small groups or grade levels, determined by data-driven needs
• Offer individual counseling tailored to student concerns and goals
• Facilitate group counseling sessions to address shared challenges or developmental topics
• Participate in crisis intervention to ensure a safe, supportive atmosphere for all students
• Foster an inclusive and empathetic environment that supports student mental health

This is a full-time, on-site role offering 35 hours per week and begins as soon as possible.
