Key Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure and certification as a School Social Worker
- Experience with elementary and/or middle school students
- Knowledge of child development, crisis intervention, and behavioral management
- Strong communication, advocacy, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families
- Commitment to maintaining student confidentiality and well-being
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling and intervention services to students individually and in small groups
- Conduct assessments and develop plans to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create strategies for student success
- Facilitate conflict resolution and support positive peer relationships
- Participate in IEP or 504 meetings, providing input on accommodations and support plans
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school policies and state regulations
