Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure as a School Social Worker
- Previous experience providing social work services in a school or educational environment
- In-depth knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and crisis intervention strategies
- Strong documentation, organizational, and case management abilities
- Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students to identify social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Provide individual and group counseling for students facing academic or personal challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create and implement support plans
- Advocate for students’ well-being and coordinate referrals to community resources
- Lead or participate in meetings, including IEPs and 504 planning
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to compliance standards
- Facilitate workshops or classroom lessons focused on social-emotional learning
- Respond to crisis situations and provide short-term intervention as needed
