Make an impact supporting students as a bilingual social worker for the 2026/2027 school year! This contract opportunity welcomes professionals passionate about fostering student well-being and inclusion within an educational setting. Working 1-2 days per week (up to 14 hours), your expertise will help shape a supportive environment for English/Spanish-speaking students.

In this role, you will provide counseling and support services to a caseload of students with IEPs who are bilingual, while also assisting the broader bilingual general education program and school community during your on-site days. As a valuable resource for students, staff, and families, you'll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and utilize your skills to promote student success.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois School Social Worker license
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Experience working in school or healthcare social work settings
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and compliance
  • Ability to support diverse student needs and collaborate with educators and administration
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver culturally responsive direct and indirect services to bilingual students with IEPs
  • Support the general education bilingual program and provide consultation to staff as needed
  • Liaise with families, teachers, and outside agencies to ensure student access to resources
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school climate
