As a bilingual social worker, you’ll serve students with IEPs who are bilingual (English/Spanish), as well as provide key support to the General Education bilingual program. This contract position offers a flexible schedule, working 1-2 days per week—up to 14 hours—making it an ideal role for professionals seeking balance and impactful work. Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois School Social Worker license required
- Experience working in educational or school-based settings
- Proficient in both English and Spanish, with ability to support diverse learners
- Familiarity with IEP processes and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver social work services to bilingual students with IEPs
- Support General Education bilingual program and the broader school community
- Engage in assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring
- Serve as an advocate for bilingual students, collaborating with educators, families, and outside resources
- Provide leadership and consultation on culturally responsive practices
