As a bilingual social worker, you’ll serve students with IEPs who are bilingual (English/Spanish), as well as provide key support to the General Education bilingual program. This contract position offers a flexible schedule, working 1-2 days per week—up to 14 hours—making it an ideal role for professionals seeking balance and impactful work. You’ll be the go-to resource for students’ social and emotional well-being, shaping positive school experiences for those in need of specialized support.

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois School Social Worker license required
• Experience working in educational or school-based settings
• Proficient in both English and Spanish, with ability to support diverse learners
• Familiarity with IEP processes and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver social work services to bilingual students with IEPs
• Support General Education bilingual program and the broader school community
• Engage in assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring
• Serve as an advocate for bilingual students, collaborating with educators, families, and outside resources
• Provide leadership and consultation on culturally responsive practices
