Make an impact supporting students as a bilingual social worker for the 2026/2027 school year! In this role, you will provide counseling and support services to a caseload of students with IEPs who are bilingual, while also assisting the broader bilingual general education program and school community during your on-site days. As a valuable resource for students, staff, and families, you'll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and utilize your skills to promote student success.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois School Social Worker license
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Experience working in school or healthcare social work settings
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and compliance
- Ability to support diverse student needs and collaborate with educators and administration
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver culturally responsive direct and indirect services to bilingual students with IEPs
- Support the general education bilingual program and provide consultation to staff as needed
- Liaise with families, teachers, and outside agencies to ensure student access to resources
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school climate
