Qualifications & Desired Background:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) required
• Valid and current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Social Work endorsement
• Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
• Strong crisis intervention and problem-solving capabilities
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion within school communities

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized support and intervention plans
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote students’ overall well-being
• Provide individual and group counseling to students facing challenges
• Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community agencies
• Support crisis intervention efforts and facilitate referrals to appropriate resources
• Document services, maintain records, and participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
