Qualifications & Desired Background:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) required
- Valid and current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Social Work endorsement
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong crisis intervention and problem-solving capabilities
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion within school communities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized support and intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote students’ overall well-being
- Provide individual and group counseling to students facing challenges
- Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community agencies
- Support crisis intervention efforts and facilitate referrals to appropriate resources
- Document services, maintain records, and participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
