Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid School Social Worker licensure in Illinois
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • Deep knowledge of IEP implementation and documentation requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a student-focused approach
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Professionalism, empathy, and adaptability

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct social work services to students per their IEP requirements
  • Document and track progress to ensure compliance with state and district regulations
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
  • Offer crisis intervention, counseling, and strategy development for students’ social and emotional needs
  • Attend team and IEP meetings as needed
