Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
  • Active state licensure as a School Social Worker
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to conduct assessments, crisis intervention, and develop behavioral or support plans
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate case records and documentation
  • Compassionate, adaptable, and culturally sensitive approach

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents/guardians to develop and implement intervention strategies
  • Conduct risk assessments, respond to crises, and provide ongoing support for students in need
  • Facilitate referral and connection to community resources and outside agencies as needed
  • Maintain detailed documentation, reports, and confidential records in compliance with school and district policies
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings (IEPs, 504s, etc.), offering social-emotional expertise
  • Advocate for student needs and promote a positive, inclusive school climate
